A Love Letter to Women in Business: IWD 2025
International Women’s Day is here, but honestly? Women deserve to be celebrated every day. Because let’s be real—the world doesn’t always make it easy for us. In some places, women’s rights are being pulled back. Our choices are questioned, our voices challenged. But despite it all, we show up. We keep going. We lift each other up.
I haven’t always felt this way. In my younger years, I never considered myself a “girly girl” or a “woman’s woman.” Back then, it felt like we were taught to compete, to judge, to compare. We absorbed messages that told us to tear each other down rather than build each other up. And for a long time, that’s just how it was.
But as I’ve grown, I’ve unlearned that. Now? I love women. I love our complexities, our depth, our ability to hold so much at once. I love that we are multi-passionate, soft yet strong, nurturing yet determined. And I feel so lucky to work with incredible women who are building businesses that matter.
Redefining Success on Your Terms
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned—both in my own business and through supporting others—is that success doesn’t have to look a certain way. We’re bombarded with messages about what success should be: six-figure launches, packed schedules, a constant climb towards more. But what if success wasn’t about a specific number or milestone?
"Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it." – Maya Angelou
If you’re building a business (or thinking about starting one), know this: you can do it. You don’t need to follow someone else’s blueprint. You don’t need to hustle yourself into burnout. You don’t need to do things the way they’ve always been done. You can build something that feels right for you—something that gives you joy, purpose, and balance. Because life isn’t just about work.
Don’t Forget to Live
The pressure to do more is real, especially in business. There’s always another goal to chase, another task to tick off, another “should” whispering in your ear. But in all of that, don’t lose sight of what actually matters to you. Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about making a living.
"Don't get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life." – Dolly Parton
So, consider this a love letter to all the women in business—and all the women dreaming of taking that first step. You are capable. You are powerful. And you don’t have to do it alone.
Here’s to you, today and every day. ❤️🔥
